So what has changed, you ask?
 
What's new are our African safari categories, allowing you to easily discover your style of travel, be it a tailor-made luxury safari or a fully serviced camping trip, and everything in between.

By scrolling over the word 'Africa' near the top of the site, a drop-down menu gives you the option of choosing by safari category or by specific country.

We're just back from the American Mid-West!

This summer our plan was to sail up the Mississippi River on a Paddlesteamer, as you may know. So how did I end up at the Audubon Museum in Henderson, Kentucky?
A tight fit

Well, at the last moment our itinerary was changed due to high water levels on the Mississippi. So after embarking south of St.Louis, MO we headed up the Ohio River towards Cincinnati, OH instead.
And even on this trip we held our breath as the ship had a scant 18 inch clearance when we passed under this bridge at Henderson, KY.

My experience aboard the American Queen was lovely, as was the pastoral countryside.
We stopped at many small, charming towns in Kentucky and Indiana on this 7 day adventure. Who knew that I would get to ride (and crash) a train - luckily it was just a simulator!
I learned how Louisville Slugger baseball bats are made and even got to see Fort Knox - from afar!

As I have learned from many travels, it's not the destination but rather the journey that counts, and I can highly recommend this one!
