Dear Epiphany people,

A second annual meeting of confirmed members will be held on Sunday, February 7, at 10:00 a.m. Please plan now to be with your church for this time to celebrate the year just ended and to plan for the year ahead.

In addition to receiving a copy of and discussing our Annual Report at this meeting, we will vote on a change to our Constitution and a change to our Bylaws regarding paid leaders serving on Mission Teams. The proposed changes are as follows:

The Constitution, section C12.01, third sentence currently states: Any voting member of the congregation may be elected, except those voting members currently employed by the congregation (pastors excepted) as a salaried employee or providing contract services for remuneration, subject only to the limitation on the length of continuous services permitted in that office.

The proposed change would read: Any voting member of the congregation may be elected, except those voting members currently employed by the congregation (pastors excepted) for an average of more than 10 hours per week as a salaried employee or providing contract services for remuneration, subject only to the limitation on the length of continuous services permitted in that office.

In the Bylaws, the change would be to add an additional item to Section 4 that states: Each Mission Team can have up to one appointed member of the team who is currently employed by the congregation (pastors excepted) for less than 10 hours per week as a salaried employee or providing contract services for remuneration.

Epiphany's Constitution and Bylaws can be found on our website under About Us, Leadership Team, if you'd like to review the full text of the sections mentioned above.

I hope you'll be with us on February 7 for this important gathering and to celebrate all that Epiphany is as we continue to reach out, raise up, and change the world through the light of the living Christ.

Peace,

Brian Mullenbach, Congregation President
