Vital!
A message from Pastor Rick
Dear Epiphany People,
Hope, life, and light to you all!
Sunday's congregational gathering should fill all of us with gratitude, humility, and hope. For me personally, I am grateful for how the congregation is truly together in mission and that the deployment of our resources is aligned with our values and pillars of emphases. I am filled with humility because of daily and weekly being surrounded by amazingly talented and dedicated people. Epiphany is truly an embarrassment of riches in this regard. I am filled with hope because the mission of Epiphany emerges from the heart of God. I am convinced that God will continue to bless our efforts to be the hands, feet, and heart of Christ in the world.
When I go for my annual physical, I am a little nervous that my personal vital signs will prove to be healthy, and if not, at least manageable. The report about the health of the body known as Epiphany is that we are strong and vital. Those at the annual gathering heard about these key indicators of congregational health and vitality: Click here to continue reading

| Sunday's Sermon | |
The title of my sermon is "A Lifesaving Skill." As we come to the close of the Epiphany Season, Jesus takes three of his disciples up on the mountain where they will all experience a great epiphany -- Jesus's face changes, ancient figures appear, a cloud overshadows them, and a voice speaks from the cloud. The experience is a great teaching moment for all followers of Jesus. It can save your life. |

Confirmation Camp info meeting
Students who will be in 6th grade next fall and at least one parent should attend a meeting tonight in the CIA Room to get information about Confirmation Camp. To be held at Lutherock June 9-15, the camp is the initial event for Epiphany's Confirmands in Action year. Pastor Rick will provide information about the camp, including a brief overview of camp activities, transportation arrangements, registration process, and fees. |
| Recap of Epiphany's Annual Gathering | | |
Celebration of past year, vision for future
Sunday's annual gathering was a celebration of the past year of ministry and a look at what's ahead for Epiphany. With a quorum of members present, Epiphany approved the 2013 Leadership Council and mission spending plan. Those gathered also approved amendments to the bylaws and a continuing resolution that named Rainbow Village as a recipient of first fruits gifts.
Epiphany's 2012 Annual Report was distributed. Copies of the report are in Epiphany's gathering space and on our website. |
| Haiti Servant Team Shares Moving Message | | |
We're thankful for the 12-person team who recently traveled to Haiti. With their presence there, the team told our partners in Haiti that they are not forgotten and we have their backs. On Sunday, the team brought the message of love and hope back from Haiti.

| Understanding Homelessness in Gwinnett County | |
Adult formation series begins Sunday at 9:45 AM
Join us Sunday when we welcome Dr. John Smith, COO of Rainbow Village. He will lead us into an understanding of homelessness in our area, looking at how people become homeless, the needs of the homeless, and how our being the heart, hands, and feet of Christ can get them back on their feet.
Rainbow Village, which was recently designated a recipient of Epiphany's first fruits gifts, provides transitional housing and a model of self-sufficiency for homeless families with children, a place where they can seek refuge and learn to rebuild their lives with the love and support of a true community.
Please welcome Dr. Smith to Epiphany! The Sunday morning series continues February 17 and 24. |
