102% A message from Pastor Rick
Dear Epiphany People,
Last summer I relayed to you a story about a decision your fabulous youth made while we were in Haiti. There has been an amazing outcome to this story.

The CLM project empowers ultra-poor families in the Central Plateau of Haiti to get out of extreme poverty. |
Hopefully you are all aware of the Chemen Lavi Miyò project in the Central Plateau area f Haiti, a project that Epiphany has been supporting through HTF. Finding and walking alongside the ultra-poor, the project empowers women with children to get out of extreme poverty and onto the path to a better life. Epiphany and HTF are blessed to have a Haitian by the name of Hèbert overseeing our families with two amazingly hard working case managers, Georges and Anderson. Hèbert has insisted that Georges and Anderson obtain a 100% graduation result with our families. This means that every family we sponsor in the CLM project will have achieved the criteria at the end of the 18-month process that deem them to have successfully graduated from CLM and onto a path to a better life. One hundred percent graduation is a tall order. Read more

| Sunday's Sermon | |
The title of my sermon is "All Is Calm, All Is Bright." In these anxious and high stakes times of a looming fiscal cliff, global warming, war, and roaring seas from storms -- all of biblical proportions -- this season points toward a message sung over the birth of a baby. It is the message that enables us to stand up and get our heads up during these highly anxious times. |

Parents can pick up boxes this evening before worship in the Real Time Room downstairs; Susan Heck will be on hand to assist you. (Boxes also will be available for pickup in our gathering space on Sunday.)

| Bible Workshop for Children This Saturday | | |
Imagine session 9:30 - 11 AM for K - 5th graders
Children ages kindergarten - 5th grade are invited to join Pastor Rick and Melanie Landry for a morning of exploring the Bible. Beginning at 9:30 AM, this workshop will be a fun and engaging time with games and activities to help children learn more about the Bible - including what the Bible actually tells us, the difference between the Old and New Testaments, how to listen to scripture in worship, and how to read the Bible.
Children who have not yet received a Bible from Epiphany will be given one at the end of the session.
Please RSVP to Melanie Landry if you plan to attend. |
| Angel Tree Helps Our Neighbors | | |
Gifts due by Sunday, December 9
The Christmas tree in our gathering space is decorated with ornaments to help some families in Gwinnett have gifts this Christmas. Ornaments represent gifts for children in families served by the Quinn Houe, as welll as for clients of the Quinn House residential program and Gwinnett seniors.
When you select an ornament from the tree, please log the entry in the notebook. Gifts are due by Sunday, December 9. Please tape the ornament to the unwrapped gift and check the return box on the log. |
