 | CalAPA welcomes NAPA to California for its 61st annual meeting in La Quinta
| The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA), a CalAPA partner, held their 61st annual meeting last week in La Quinta, and California cooperated by serving up its trademark sunny skies and warm temperatures for the hundreds of attendees fleeting colder climates.
CalAPA Executive Director Russell Snyder co-facilitated a breakout

CalAPA Deputy Executive Director Tony Grasso participated in several workshops and committee meetings focusing on technical aspects of asphalt pavements, regulations and sustainability, as did many other CalAPA members.
Particularly as it relates to environmental-related matters, participants were keenly interested in the California perspective, recognizing that many eco-friendly trends that start in California migrate to other states.
CalAPA and other state asphalt pavement associations, collectively known as State Asphalt Pavement Associations (SAPA), NAPA and the Asphalt Institute contribute to pooled funds to underwrite research and marketing activities nationwide designed to elevate the industry and burnish asphalt's position as the pavement of choice for public and private owners. Many of those activities were on display in La Quinta.
