An Unwelcome Christmas Gift

Before this year is over though, I need you to do one last thing for me.

I received a call last week from Director Varnel. He was VERY distraught. They had just received an electric bill and it said we owed over $23,000!

That's for the studios alone. We also found out now that we owe another $10,000 for the transmitter site at Boutillier and for our Stereo 92 station in Petionville.

Couple good reasons for these big bills. First is that EDH has had their billing messed up and this is the first correct bills we've gotten for several months. And it is costing nearly $5000 a month for these three sites! That's because electricity costs us $.38 a Kwh. Three times as much as it does in the US.

Needless to say the Director was in a panic. EDH is insisting we pay at least something right away or they'll cut the power! And since this is the network hub, that would mean the Radio Lumière Network would be off the air.

Obviously we need your help. Many other organizations are clamoring to be part of your year end giving. But this EDH bill is urgent.

Exciting news is we already have one champion who is donating $10,000! Please consider joining in with a liberal year end contribution. Don't forget your check must be in the mail by Monday, December 31 to get the 2012 tax deduction. Or give online at Support Radio Lumière.

We at Radio Lumière can't do it without you. Together we will continue to reach Haiti for Christ in 2013.

Sincerely,

Paul Shingledecker
