Promise Awards
Since 1992, Rainbow Days has recognized over 200 extraordinary individuals and organizations who have demonstrated an on-going commitment to furthering the mission of Rainbow Days with our special Promise Award. We take great delight in honoring these recipients who have given selflessly of their time, talent and resources to make sure the 15,000 children served annually by Rainbow Days have a healthy and promising future. This year's Promise Awards Ceremony & Reception will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. | Easter EGGstravaganza
Due to anticipated funding constraints associated with a projected reduction in federal funding from one of our major supporters, we will not be hosting Easter Eggstravaganza this year. We are already gearing up for summer though and need your help to make summer camp and Back-to-School possible for the over 1,000 homeless children who will benefit from these much needed summer programs! Help us ensure that our weekly support groups, summer programs and special family outings continue to benefit the children who need them most. Anonymous Donor Supports Outdoor Adventure Camp
Special thanks to our very generous friends who shall remain nameless. Through their gift, over 150 children residing in area shelters will be able to attend Outdoor Adventure Camp this year! This week of summer fun which includes, learning, exploration and adventure is often the highlight of the year and wouldn't be possible without our incredible benefactor.

Mission Moment
Dear Mr. Leo, I appreciated you coming to my school every Monday and talking to us about how to deal with our problems without making them worse. Your talking to us actually made me a better person. Thank you.
These were the words written on a hand-made card by a middle school student in the northwestern part of Dallas. The student, Juan, comes from a broken home in an impoverished neighborhood, and had been referred to Rainbow Days support group by his school counselor for fighting, delinquent behaviors and repeated referrals to alternative centers. Juan was initially resistant to participating in group at his school but as time progressed he'd ask telling questions such as why people choose drugs over their children. Leo still sees Juan in the hallways at his school as Juan always seeks him out when he's there and Leo always lets him know that he expects Juan to try his best because someone believes in him.
