"Make it Count". A great call to action. After all, Nike uses it. Unfortunately, MIC is often easily declared but more difficult to live with consistency.
So many of us have a tendency to 'float' through life, living for some future event rather than becoming actively involved in each day and all that it offers. We can live and Make It Count.

I think of
Making It Count as part 2 of a two part message. Without hearing, embracing and building on part one, Make It Count carries little impact and has little staying power. It remains, a nice advertising phrase.
You Matter is part one and must be delivered first. My message to business leaders an
d their employees is one of awe at just how unique and special they are. Once people accept and believe that they matter, they are then ready to hear a call to action.
Make It Count is our call to acknowledge the joy of life and to live the gift with purpose and deliberateness.
Make this day count. Actively participate in the job you are choosing to do. Consciously contribute in some way to the happiness of someone else. See the day you are creating, aware that circumstances are within your control, if only through the attitude with which you choose to respond.
Whatever a business does, at it's foundation it is a business of people. Made up of individuals who choose to either be productive, passionate and participatory in moving the business forward or choose instead, although maybe unconsciously, to be placeholders and bench warmers. A drain on profitability and progress.
To develop more of the former employees it is necessary they not only hear that they are special, but that they believe what they hear.
Action follows belief. As many as we can convince of their strengths will in turn choose to utilize their opportunities and make each day count by finding ways to give back, engage and evolve. That's good for business and good for us all.
