AIA/CKC House Tour Committee Meeting
(House Tour will be held next spring in 2016)

Date:         Wednesday, August 26, 2015
Location:  Ghyslain - 721 E. Market Street, Lou., KY

All are cordially invited to attend a follow up call for volunteers meeting. At last week's discussion we decided to set up a series of meetings as we move forward. The goal is to meet over lunch the fourth Wednesday of each month as our plans solidify.

The primary objectives:
- Establish a structured committee for next year's tour
- Fine tune a strategic outline as a guide to help organize AIA CKC House Tour 2016

All insight is welcome, especially from those who have been instrumental in leading past house tours.

*As always, the success of our events is a result of the relentless effort and dedication of many*

8:00 am - 6:00 pm (EST) 1136 West Market St.
Louisville, KY 40203

Ready to get serious about sustainability?
REGREEN® is the nation's first and most comprehensive green residential remodeling program. The program is based on the REGREEN Residential Remodeling Guidelines©, a set of sustainability best practices that emphasize green product selection, team integration and whole-systems thinking. Filling a unique niche in the
marketplace, REGREEN is designed for professionals who want to create healthy, high-performing spaces. While it was developed for residential renovations, REGREEN is also appropriate for hospitality design and historic renovations.

Interiors-Focused Training
The REGREEN Implementation Workshop addresses the industry-specific challenges interior designers face when renovating a client space. Building on foundational knowledge from the REGREEN Guidelines, the workshop employs faculty-led instruction and team charrettes to prepare designers to identify, evaluate and implement strategies to green their projects. It is the capstone course in the REGREEN Trained™ certificate program and offers 0.8 HSW CEU (IDCEC), which can also be used for LEED CMP. Taught by veteran interior designer Annette Stelmack, Allied ASID, LEED AP BD+C, sustainable design consultant at Inspirit-llc and co-author of Sustainable Residential Interiors.

Learning Objectives
  • Identify strategies from the REGREEN Residential Remodeling Guidelines© to adopt in daily practice.
  • Understand the value of engaging whole-systems thinking and professional team integration.
  • Incorporate spatial relationships, adjacencies and best practices when developing space plans.
  • Select environmentally-preferable FF&E that contributes to healthy IEQ and resource conservation.
  • Educate the client about non-toxic cleaning and maintenance operations.
Registration
  • $195 ASID member | $360 non-member | $175 students (Includes breakfast, lunch & snacks)
  • Register Now: http://regreenlouisville.eventbrite.com
