Bob Greason
Having relocated from Westchester County, NY with his wife Georgette in 2012, Bob is known in the industry as a knowledgeable, "hands-on" professional. Bob brings his Delaware real estate experience and a successful career in the title insurance industry to the table at Active Adults Realty.
"Having been in the industry my entire professional life, it was a natural transition to become a licensed real estate agent when we relocated to Delaware. My decision to join the Team at Active Adults Realty was really a simple one. This Brokerage has carved out a niche in the boutique brokerage world, working with Boomers and Beyond moving into Delaware. This philosophy simply separates them from the larger brokerages and franchises in the area and offers Buyers the kind of specialized service delivered by an educated agent who knows the locale and knows what it's like to relocate." "Why Do New Homes Win Almost Every Time?"
Answer:
Decorated by experts with every upgrade and option available, the new home makes prospective boomer buyers smile.
They open that door and fall in love with possibilities. It's no wonder why new homes win almost every time!
Even the sophisticated buyer who has bought and sold multiple homes, renovated several and knows how to look beyond dcor is not immune to the inherent marketing and appeal of a beautifully furnished model home. It won't look like that when they move in, but that is what sold them. No different than going to a fashion show where a tall, thin gorgeous model looks smashing in that dress you just have to have. Will it look that good on you? It will probably look wonderful on you but it will never look as good as it did with the whole package that model represents. Continue reading

Boomers Are Transitioning to Amenity-rich Communities!
"Boomers beginning the transition to retirement" seems to be the hot topic in all the news media lately. Based on reports on trends in the real estate industry, Bernice Ross wrote about "the huge number of boomers who are getting rid of their large family homes and beginning the transition into more manageable homes in communities filled with amenities and people of like minds." She goes on to say, "What has been surprising is that most of our baby boomer friends are either going through the same process or considering it soon."
Of course, Active Adults Realty have been focused on this market for years, 12 Years to be exact, so it did not come as a surprise to us! In thinking about all of our Boomer Buyers and what their choices are today in Coastal Delaware, the kind of community Bernice was specifically talking about is perhaps best represented here at Heritage Shores, the 18 hole Arthur Hills Golf Course, with plenty of activities...a fitness facility, indoor and outdoor pools, concerts on-site, a bevy of local events, a full restaurant, pub, tennis, bocce, pickle ball courts.
