Hunker Down with A Crock Pot of Love!
Winter has arrived! It's time to "hunker down with a crock pot of love! My husband Bill just gifted me with a Crock Pot for Christmas. Yahoo... now I needed to do some research, find recipes and get ready for the crock-pot and slow cooker season.
The Basics
"It started way back in the 70's, when the popular and versatile countertop slow cooker, or "Crock Pot," warmed its way into the hearts of home cooks who were starved for convenience with taste combined. Today, crock pots are computerized, offering varied temperature selections, multiple timing options and removable ceramic liners making crock-potting cleanup even more quick and easy," said an article in the www.huffingtonpost.com. This slow, sealed method of cooking allows you to retain most of your ingredients nutrients due to the minimal evaporation that occurs.
To Cook or Not to Cook
Brand new home or pre-owned palace, sometimes you just don't feel like being in the Kitchen! Whatever the reason, you may not want to trash the brand new kitchen space, or you don't cook anymore, or you're so busy with your Active Adult Delaware lives that you don't have time to play in the Kitchen right now. No matter what, crock-potting will save you prep time plus fill your home with the scent of a slow home cooked meal without a lot of mess and fuss.

OUR FEATURED BOOMERS!
Our Featured Boomers are Mary Anne and Dr. Alonzo Borja, who relocated from Elmira, New York to Middletown, Delaware. When faced with boomer relocation, the Borja's considered Medford, New Jersey; and Kennett Square, Avondale and Bucks County, Pennsylvania as an alternative to relocating to Delaware.
"We found Bill Bell and he introduced us to Spring Arbor. It has everything we wanted, care-free living, they even take care of your yard. Bill made buying our home easy. We communicated through the internet and he helped us from construction through the closing." The couple made Spring Arbor home on April 24, 2015. Find out what the Borjas' are looking forward to in retirement. When asked, what are the 3 most important factors making Delaware the Borjas retirement choice? The answer is that they are now only 1.5 hours to Medford, NJ, 2 hours from Reading, PA and 4 hours from Glen Allen, VA! "The locations of 3 of our children's homes and our being closer to Hilton Head Island, SC, made the decision to relocate to Delaware quite easy." Read more.
