Did You Leave Your Financial Advisor Behind?
Janet Redman, Vice President of the Lokken Investment Group in Lewes  asks, "Have you moved and left your Financial Advisor behind? New inhabitants usually have a pressing "To Do" list, yet often new residents leave their Financial Advisor miles behind like a landscaper. It may take 2, 3, or even 5 years before the lack of proximity to that Financial Advisor leads to a fraying connection. With family, professional and health concerns often uppermost in mind, it is beneficial to have someone you can rely on for guidance and caution during these critical years that will help monitor your savings. Take A 'Cue from These Five BBQ Myths
Is mastering BBQ on your Boomer Bucket List? The Tasting Table says, "There isn't a single food that Americans mythologize more than barbecue. So what do you know about 'cue? Does beef or pork reign supreme (and if the latter, whole or shoulder)? Is mustard or vinegar sauce superior? Did it come from a gas-powered pit, or did the pitmaster haul an ax out to the woods? Pulled or chopped? Slaw topped or not? The more people are talking about sumptuous, slow-smoked meat, the likelier they are to crave and seek it out. But at the same time, some long-held notions now don't hold true, and others were inaccurate to begin with-which may get in the way of people getting the best barbecue they can. So let's bust these BBQ Myths, continue reading. |

John and Carol Knapp

Our Featured Boomers, John and Carol Knapp are from Denville New Jersey, and made their final move to their Oakwood Village home on June 24. "Welcome John and Carol!"

When asked what were the most important factors in making Delaware their relocation choice, they answered, the general area and atmosphere, the warmer weather, a slower lifestyle and of course, "the tax benefits."    Once the Knapps settle into their new home, they plan on getting to know and enjoy the entire area. They are, "Anticipating getting in shape," (Carol wants to get back to Yoga), "and just doing what we want; kayaking, biking, gardening, walking the boardwalk and shoreline and our passion - bird watching! This is going to be great! We are looking forward to simply waking up and saying "gee, what should we do today?" Read More.   |
