Milton Garden Club's 16th Annual Gardens and Homes Tour

On Saturday, July 11 from 9am-3pm, rain or shine, Milton will be in full bloom with flowers all around town, at the 16th Annual Milton Garden Club's Gardens and Homes Tour.
According to MGC President, Nancy Trask, "This year's tour includes 8 private gardens and one home, featuring the grand gardens of Red Mill Pond and Overbrook Shores, as well as established gardens within the town of Milton. Also included is the Museum at the Milton Historical Society, Milton Memorial Park and Gardens, and a "pit stop" porch and garden. The gardens offer something for everyone. We also will have numerous special events in the gardens, ranging from artists painting and displaying their work, flower arranging, wood carving demonstrations, and sales of garden decorative items."

The Group started with the maintenance of three gardens, growing to ten gardens and over 50 urns and planters. Established in 1998, this group of volunteers dedicated to the beautification of the town through horticulture, hosts two major fundraisers; the Annual Gardens and Homes Tour and the Holly Fest in December.  Several Active Adults Realty clients are members of the Milton Garden Club, including current President Nancy Trask and Sue Welan, wife of team member Elliot Welan.

Advance tickets to the 16th Annual Gardens and Homes Tour are $15, $20 on Tour Day and will be held - rain or shine.
Tour Day tickets can be purchased at the Milton Garden Club Booth in front of Milton Historical Society Museum, 210 Union Street in Milton. For Gardens and House Tour ticket outlets and other Milton Garden Club events and information, continue reading

TRENDING: BUYER's ALERT

Home Resales: The Real Opportunity!

We often hear builders and their sales people refer to "resale homes" as "used homes" and say, "Why buy a used home, when you can have a new one?" But don't you wonder if they ever stop to think, "that used home" is more than likely a home that "they" (that very Builder) just built a few years ago in the same Community, no less!

Many people today look for a new home and sometimes real bargains get overlooked! Don't be one of those Buyers. Shop smart. Resale homes have some very distinct advantages and you should not just dismiss them just because of all of the builder's marketing hype; including suggesting that the earlier homes "they built" are no longer considered comparable after just a few years of gentle ownership. Real Estate Market News
Think ahead. Buying a Home Real is not a Kids' Game

Real Estate is a long term investment. You can't trade one house for another  one -like baseball cards.
Not thinking ahead when you're buying a new home could be a very costly experience if change your mind in a year or even two or three. When you are buying a new home, especially new construction, think carefully about what you need and what you want. Ask yourself, if something happened in a few years and you had to turn around and sell, are you making choices someone else will like?

A Home Inspection is not a Vendetta!

It is not a "Honey Do" list, directing a Seller to make their home like new. A Home Inspection will uncover Major Defects and Safety Issues, and help to ready your home for a faster sale. Unfortunately, your home may not be new so pricing your home right will also help. But even when a home is priced right, some Buyers and some Buyers Agents do not understand the purpose of a Home Inspection. Read it clearly stated in our Standard Agreement of Sale...
