No Horsing Around, DERBY DAY to POINT to POINT, Delaware Loves Horses and May is for Horse Lovers!
Saddle up for the Running of the Roses or celebrate good old Delaware tradition by viewing the Parade of Carriages and the Point to Point Steeplechase Races. The Kentucky Derby - Saturday, May 2 The 141st running of the Kentucky Derby will start off the race for the Triple Crown. Each year 20 horses have the once in a lifetime chance to run in the Kentucky Derby. Planing your own Derby Party, find recipes, fashion suggestions and party supplies. Dig out your best Mint Julip recipe and invite friends. The 141st Kentucky Derby will be televised on NBC from 4-7:30pm, but the afternoon will be full of colorful hats and jockies and silks. The Locals Pick: Baywood Greens Clubhouse Veranda Bar Opening. Put on your Derby duds and head to the Clubhouse Restaurant's Verandah Bar Opening Party on May 2 from 1-4pm with music, giveaways, raffles and specials and the Derby on the big screen TV.
