Quick Delivery Homes Help Make the Move... Smooth!

These days, it's hard for some Boomers to carry two mortgages while their existing home sits on the market. They must wait for their house to sell, called a contingency, before buying a new one.

For Quick Delivery Home buyers, the biggest concern is availability... looking to avoid short term renting or getting into your new home before the holidays. If you find yourself in this situation, you are not alone.

Don't Miss Your Chance for "Instant Gratification"

It's a great way to get a jump start and save. Certain builders typically try to have homes in various stages of readiness ranging from having the foundation dug to having the drywall up to being move-in ready. These homes can be ready to move into in a matter of weeks rather than months. Also referred to as Inventory Homes or Spec Homes, prices for Quick Delivery Homes vary and depend on the upgrades that have been included or that can be added during construction. Taxing Times
Before You Choose Where to Retire, Be Sure To Compare Taxes
By Kathy Sperl-Bell, Broker

Low taxes alone are not enough of a reason to relocate when you retire but it is an important consideration. Also, you need to look at the bottom line to understand the net effect for you when you retire. For most, Delaware is either the most tax friendly or one of the best. If that is attracting you to Delaware, however, I recommend that you come and spend some time with us, let us show you the area, and see if you like it here.

If you plan to move to another state when you retire, take time now to examine the tax burden you'll face when you relocate. While there are many factors to consider when deciding where to retire and what's going to be affordable, the different types of state taxes you will need to pay are among the costs to consider when building your retirement plan of Action.

We have compiled the information to make it easy for you to compare Top Income Tax, Sales Tax, Property Tax, Estate Tax and Inheritance Taxes in the Mid-Atlantic States. To download the PDF Tax Comparison or to read the entire of the article on our blog, CLICK HERE.

Delaware Trails Get You Moving

The Delaware State Tourism Office at www.visitdelaware.com, has launched the new

site, "a collection of more than 60 activities at over 40 statewide locations, ranging from the rolling hills of Delaware's wooded north to its southern beaches and bays." Endless activities equal a passport to fun for boomers including paddling kayaks across the bay at sunset or flying on a  zipline across Lums Pond.

Delaware's Outdoor Trails breaks down into four types of adventures:

  • Hiking/Walking/Running: Delaware's popular footpaths lead wanderers to spectacular views and rare glimpses of nature.
  • Biking: From rugged woodland trails to easygoing spins along the beach, peddle your way to a variety of cycling challenges.
  • Wildlife Viewing: Delaware's coastal expanses and wooded rolling hills present year-round opportunities for seeing nature and wildlife in their raw beauty.
  • Water Activities: Brimming with water adventures like fishing, clamming and crabbing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding at some the most out-of-the-way natural settings.

Do-A-DE Adventure and when fun is done, pick a place to stay and then find place to dine.
