Meet Debbie Shearer

Debbie Shearer

Debbie moved to Delaware in March of 2012 and joined the Active Adults Realty Team.
Debbie and her husband Joe raised their two boys in Laurel, Maryland. Debbie retired from a 30 year career with Verizon, and first obtained her real estate license in Maryland in 2008. Linda Chick was Debbie's agent when they bought their home and we were all very happy when she decided to join our team. Debbie enjoys working with Buyers helping them find the right community and the right home in Delaware.

As reported to the Washington Post!
This morning I was interviewed on the phone by a reporter for The Washington Post. She had called Betsy Reamer at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and said "I hear that Lewes has become a popular place for retirees". We had a great conversation and she is interviewing several of our clients. Can't wait to see the published story and I will be sure to share it with you on my Blog and Facebook Page!

Cape Water Taxi
Water Taxi - Eco Tours - Sunset Cruises - Take the Cape Water Taxi this summer.

Cape Water Taxi
Cape Water Taxi began service in 2012 because of a life-long dream by its owner, Captain David Green, to operate a water taxi for the Delaware Beach Communities. His vision to provide local residents and visitors of Lewes, Rehoboth and Dewey a comfortable, safe, affordable, hassle-free way to travel up and down the coast has come to life with Cape Water Taxi. The Water Taxi provides an alternative way to experience the wonders of our scenic area without having to fight heavy traffic and congestion of Route 1 and surrounding roads.

Rehoboth Art League Show
This show at the Rehoboth Art League is one of the best art and fine craft shows anywhere. I have been going to this show since the late 1980s and I highly recommend you put this on your calendar.
This year over 100 selected artists from the Mid-Atlantic region will be selling beautiful creations in a wide variety of media. Patrons will be able to stroll around and view the artwork on Rehoboth Art League's 3.5-acre campus which is shaded and tastefully landscaped. Delicious food for lunch or snacks will be available to eat in a picturesque garden while listening to music, or strolling among the artists' tents.
Visit the Rehoboth Art League for more information.
Habitat for Humanity
Each year before our Annual Client Appreciation Party, we select a local Charity as the beneficiary. This year we are pleased and excited to be partnered with the Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. Many of our clients have become involved as volunteers once they move to Delaware.
Our clients will be able to sign up for a special Build Day on September 25, 2013. Those that don't wield a hammer may help by providing lunch for the volunteers or simply make a donation.
Habitat for Humanity is a great organization and one we hope to support for years to come. Please support your local Chapter.
