Greetings!
This will be the last "Off-Season at the Beach" until November or December. We will return to the "Boomers and Beyond at the Beach" theme next month and trust me there are even more Boomers here than last year. Despite a rather cold and rainy winter, we have been extremely busy. I cannot remember ever being this busy in the 10 years Bill and I have lived in this part of Delaware. Say Hello to April!

The War of 1812 Lewes Bombardment
April 6 & 7, 2013
On Saturday, April 6, experience the guns of Fort McHenry as the Fort McHenry Guard will be in town to demonstrate cannon firing at Cape Henlopen State Park. Also on April 6, beginning at 12:30pm, join leading regional and national scholars for presentations at St. Peter's Church Hall regarding the War of 1812 in the MidAtlantic and some of the newest in historical findings about "America's Second War of Independence." This seminar will be lead by Russ McCabe, retired Delaware State Archivist. This event is free and open to the public. Park entry fees may apply.

Lewes Tulip Festival

 The Lewes Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Lewes in Bloom, The Lewes Historical Society, Lewes Parks & Recreation Commission, the Zwaanendael Museum and the Historic Lewes Farmers Market to present the fourth annual Lewes Tulip Festival, blossoming on April 11 - 13, 2013.
