Principal's Message
Dear Murwood Families,

Thank you for reading The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane with us.  There are so many rich vocabulary words and such a deep, resonant message.  I will be thinking of this book for years to come. To celebrate the end of the book, we will have a schoolwide assembly with the Fratello Marionettes to enjoy a performance of "The Frog Prince."

Thank you to Linda Peterson, Colleen Wolff, and Kevin King for an outstanding Multicultural Night.  There were beautiful cultural clothing, sumptuous food, and Irish Dancers.  Murwood community events are the best!

Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade spelling bee classroom winners:   Alex V., Richelle S., Aleesha S., Connor H., Norah H., Delina M., Claire F., Fernando A., Justine W., and Leila C.  Our schoolwide spelling bee will be held on Friday, February 19.  The top studious speller will go on to the County Spelling Bee!

Thank you to Sabrina Jones and Pam Downes for stepping up to take a leadership role in PTA for Welcome Back Day and After School Enrichment.

We still need a brave soul-or partnership-to share the President position.  We also need an executive VP, Secretary to record minutes, Financial Secretary; Auditor (this is a twice  year position) and a Fourth Vice president to help organize Community Outreach events, as well as committee chairs for many events and programs. Children are welcome at PTA meetings so you do not need to find a sitter.

Without your support and participation, we will lose many beloved events here at Murwood.

Carol Nenni
Murwood Principal
From the Office
Parents, as you drive through the parking lot in the morning and afternoon, please keep the cell phones and distractions tucked away and pay extra attention for parents and students who may be walking through.  Thanks for your help in keeping all of our families safe, in cars and out!

Also, we remind you to wait your turn in line and not cut into the drop off line from the pass through lane.  Our goal is to keep everyone safe and get you on your way.
From the PTA President
