Murwood Heritage Night and International Potluck - in the MPR at 5 PM - All Murwood Families are invited

Principal's Message
Dear Murwood Families,

Tickets go on sale TODAY for this year's Garden Party Auction for Education at Scott's Seafood on Saturday, March 19. Join me for what is sure to be a night to remember! Thank you, Laurel McClendon, and Auction Committee. Invitations come home today!

Fifth Graders were treated to a ROPES presentation today by former Murwood students Katelyn and Eliza. These young ladies wanted to learn about the difference between typical classroom teaching and teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.  They visited a school for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, interviewed the teacher, observed classes and  wrote a report of their findings. Today, they shared photos and insights with our curious fifth graders, generating a lot of interest.

Many of our fifth graders are looking forward to the ROPES meeting TONIGHT at 7:00 PM in the WCI Library.  They will learn all about the ROPES programs and the different projects they can choose. They'll learn all the requirements and take home a booklet to begin planning their ROPES project.  If you cannot make it to the meeting, booklets will be available in the MW office tomorrow. Let's have a great MW showing tonight!

Anyone interested in serving two days a week as a noon duty supervisor?  We would love to have you join our team and work a few days or sub when a regular member is not  available. Call the office and let us know.

Carol Nenni
Murwood Principal
From the Office
If your child has been sick at all, please keep in mind that they need to be symptom free (no fever, vomiting, etc.) for a full 24 hours before returning to school...this keeps everyone's immune system healthy!

Please remember that every time you need to pick up a child from school during school hours, you must come to the office to show proper identification & sign your child out.  To reduce classroom distractions, we also ask that any drop off items or messages be delivered by office staff.

We are looking for one parent helper on Monday and Tuesday mornings to assist the District Nurse gathering & returning students to their classrooms for hearing testing.  If you would be able to help at all, please contact Stacy in the front office...943.2462, x5002.
