Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

Thank you, Mr. Jones, and Murwood students for a beautiful musical performance last night.  What a lovely way to welcome our community to Open House!  Parents, thank you for your time and genuine interest in student work.  Teachers, thank you for your thoughtful preparation.  It was a wonderful celebration.  Welcome, especially, to the new Murwood families who will be joining us next year.  We are so glad you came to visit last night and look forward to partnering with you in your child's education.

Don't forget, all are welcome at our End of the Year Picnic next Friday night!  We've got DJ Dave, a photo booth, fun games, and a great opportunity to to relax and socialize in our community of friends.

Thank you,

Carol Nenni

Murwood Principal

From the Office

CAFETERIA/LUNCH MONEY REMINDERS

Reminder that now through the end of school, we do not allow students to borrow money for lunch.  This gives us time to collect any outstanding debts.  Any student that does not have money on account or cash in hand will be offered milk, fruit and/or salad from the salad bar.  Please remind your children to bring their money to the office in the morning so the cafeteria manager will have it at lunch time.  Children cannot go back to their classes to get money after they are let out for lunch recess as teachers are not there to let them into the rooms.  Please be sure to settle up any balances owing as soon as possible.  Feel free to call the cafeteria manager, Maggie, to get your child's balance or log into paypams.com for balances and activity.

From the PTA President

Dear Murwood Families,

I hope all of you enjoyed Open House and seeing some of the fun and interesting projects your children have been working on. Our students and their teachers are pretty amazing, and Open House is where they really get to show off what they've been doing.

As you may now be aware, the WCSD has completed transfer requests for next school year. Murwood will be getting many new families next fall. In order to make them feel welcome, and to help get them settled into our community, were looking for buddy families to act as ambassadors. If you are interested in helping with this very special and important project, please let myself ([email protected]) or Mrs. Nenni know.

As a final reminder, WCEF, the PTA's partner in helping provide our students with an incredible education, is beginning their Spring Giving Campaign. Please remember to send in your donations (You should have received one in the mail last week). Tax deductible donations to WCEF will pay for science lab specialist, art, music, and P.E. salaries, as well as teacher/coach collaboration time next year at the elementary school level. WCEF supports student from elementary school all the way through high school with the help of the business community, WCSD staff, and parents.

Have a great week!
