Dear Parents,
Thank you to Andrea Slavet, Danielle Scheg, and all the lovely families who shared their heritage and delicious food with us Friday at Multicultural Night. It was well attended and a delight to watch families talk, share recipes, and build community.
Congratulations to the following Murwood Fifth Graders who earned their first ROPES award last week: Cameron A., Jacob B., Katelyn C., Mason G., Shealyn H., Eliza L., Rowen M., Kailani R., Sandra S., Zoe S., Noah S., and Deven S.
You are invited to Walnut Creek Intermediate for a 5th grade parent orientation evening on April 23rd at 7 pm in the WCI gym. The presentation is for parents only and will be given by 6th grade teachers and administrators from WCI. The talk will focus on a smooth transition for students to make their time successful at WCI.

Information Session for 5th Grade Parents - Human Growth and Development Education Info Night
An information session will be held for parents of 5th grade students on May 12, 2015, at 6:30 PM in the District Office Conference Room to view materials used in the Human Growth and Development Education Program and to answer any questions parents may have. The District Office is located at 960 Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek. This program will be presented to our 5th grade students in late May.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK IS COMING UP!
The week of May 4th - 8th is Teacher Appreciation Week at Murwood. During this week we show our appreciation for our excellent and dedicated teachers. Each day we will be doing something special for our teachers. We need parent volunteers to make this a special week, so please sign up if you are interested and can help. KIDS BOWL FREE SUMMER BOWLING PROGRAM
The Kids Bowl Free Summer Bowling Program is available in our community and we thought that your family might enjoy this great deal. Each child receives 2 FREE Games of Bowling Every Day All Summer and last summer over 2,000,000 kids enjoyed this great program.
SPRING FLING CONCERT
The all school (K-5th grades) spring concert is coming! Save the date for May 21st at 6 PM. We will have a picnic before the concert on the baseball field.

Come join the fun and support your education foundation at the same time! Enjoy a social hour and hors d'ouevres starting at 6:30 p.m. Listen to amazing music provided by our own Las Lomas High School jazz students, and take in some incredible student artwork that will be on display.
A catered buffet dinner will follow and an awards ceremony to honor some of those who have supported WCEF throughout its 32-year history will take place. There will be a few premiere silent auction and raffle items to bid on as well.
