Principal's Message

Dear Parents,
Thank you to all the Fifth Grade parents who drove students, counselors, and all that luggage!!! I just returned from a short visit to Loma Mar and am happy to report the students are doing well and having a great time! Thanks, too, to all those who have made their donations. The balance will be due shortly, so please make your donation to help us defray the $10,000 that is still due.
We are in immediate need of a noon supervisor two days a week, on Thursdays and Fridays. Can you spare 3 hours a week to help keep our children well supervised? Please contact the office. Thank you.

Fall is here! With that comes cool mornings that flow into warm afternoons, and jackets that peel off as the day goes on, many of which end up in the Lost & Found. At the end of the day, please help your little ones to remember the jacket or sweater that started the day with them. LABEL your child's belongings and they will find their way back to you.
Another reminder about picking up your children during the school day: do NOT go directly to the classroom to get your child. The correct procedure is to come to the Office, show picture ID, sign your child out, and wait while we call and retrieve them from the classroom for you.

REFLECTIONS
It's time for the National PTA Reflections Arts Program!! This is a National PTA Program celebrating the Arts with student submissions in 6 categories:
- Visual Arts
- Photography
- Literature
|
- Dance Choreography
- Film Production
- Music Composition
|
This year the theme is: The World Would Be A Better Place If..............
Bring the theme to life! Students can draw, paint, take a photo, write a story, compose music, create a dance, or make a video that captures what they think would make the world a better place! Students' work will have a chance to advance to a District, State and even National level. All entries will be due October 16, 2014. Entry forms and official rules are in the office, or go to http://www.capta.org/sections/programs/reflections.cfm for more information.
Parents ... we need some volunteers to make Reflections go smoothly. No art experience necessary - just a willingness to help out. For more info or to offer help, contact Stacy Cerruti.
