teardrop_icon.gifThe Importance of Electrolytes

Electrolytes aren't just essential for
optimal performance; they're critical for any kind of performance. The truth is, you should be just as concerned about replenishing them as you are with replacing lost fluid. Consider these other key electrolytes:
  •   Calcium - aids muscle contraction
  •   Magnesium - aids healthy cell function
  •   Potassium - helps regulate pH balance
  •   Phosphate - helps regulate pH balance

The water then serves as a conductor, allowing ions to move across membranes and carry fluid, nutrients and waste. In the process they trigger nerve impulses and muscle function and allow ions in the blood to neutralize lactic acid as well as other acids dumped into the bloodstream as waste. Ask Dr. Hughes how he can help you replenish your electrolytes using natural supplements!

Heavy Metals

Heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, cadmium, nickel, and tungsten are abundant in human environments. Today's human bone contains 1000x more lead than humans 100 years ago. Dental fillings are so full of mercury that if one were left in a 10 acre lake, it would violate EPA standards for that lake. No human or mammal has escaped the burden of these heavy metals- a toxicity often associated with neurological disorders, infections, chronic fatigue, or chronic pain. Dr. Hughes utilizes provocative urine testing to analyze the toxic heavy metal burden by each patient. He then offers oral or IV chelation therapy as necessary to detoxify patients from these metals.

Now Offering: TENS units

A "CMS 3000 TENS unit" is a pocket size, portable, battery-operated device that sends electrical impulses to certain parts of the body to block pain signals. The CMS 3000 TENS unit sends comfortable impulses through the skin that stimulate the nerve (or nerves) in the treatment area. In many cases, this stimulation will greatly reduce or eliminate the pain sensation the patient feels. A CMS 3000 TENS unit provides pain relief that lasts for hours. A CMS TENS unit may help reduce or eliminate the amount of pain medications needed.

Our portable lightweight CMS 3000 TENS Unit can be used at work, home and even while you sleep, providing you with hours of pain relief. The CMS TENS unit's discreet design allows it to be worn underneath clothes anytime, anywhere! Most insurances cover TENS units, call our office to see if you qualify!
