FAMILY - GRANDPARENTS

Dear Brothers & Sisters
In today's catechesis we continue our reflection on grandparents, considering the value and importance of their role in the family. I do so by placing myself in their shoes, because I too belong to this age group.

   HAPPY EASTER TO ALL

GREETINGS FROM OUR PRESIDENT - LEAH MICHAUD

As usual, this Easter weekend was spent with our family in Halifax, N.S. but this year we chose to attend the liturgical celebrations at St. Patrick's

Church rather than at our daughter's parish. Surprisingly, the practise at St. Patrick's on Holy Thursday includes the washing of hands instead

of feet. I was a bit taken aback by this change wondering about the liturgical symbolism. As I

watched, each and every parishioner in the Church had their hands washed and dried and in turn washed and dried another's hands with a tenderness and attention that fueled my thoughts.

NEW BRUNSWICK
Three New Brunswick Communities gather to celebrate World CLC Day of Prayer On Palm Sunday. Earthen Vessel, River of Life and Fishers of People gathered as one, to pray in their usual CLC manner using material that focused on 'Today's Diverse Family Realities' (Project 161)  and to seek the
grace, both personallyand communally...locally and worldwide ...for a deeper understanding of the family as a frontier for mission; to hear and respond to God's call.

Engaging the Youth and Young Adult 'Frontier in CLC Canada

When I attended the 2013 World Assembly in Lebanon, I was struck by the large number of young adult delegates present.  What joy and vibrancy they brought to the Assembly! One evening, some of these young adults gathered to share about youth and young people in their countries and in their CLC communities: how they engage young people in CLC, what the spiritual needs are, and various graces and challenges encountered in journeying with young people.  We left with a recognition of how fruitful it was to share these experiences together.
