National Assembly Preparations:
Canada's Constitution Consensus Process
|
On the road to a new Constitution...
"Did not our hearts burn within us as He talked to us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us." Luke 24: 32
Hello my fellow CLC friends, Peace!
On behalf of the Constitution Working Group this bulletin has undertaken to give us all a summary of our Constitution journey over the past number of years. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the process as we prepare for our upcoming Assembly. We are all reminded as well to please bring our own copy of the Constitution with us to the Assembly. You can bring a clean copy or a copy with the tracked changes over the revision process or both. These can be downloaded from our CLC Canada website.
Continued Lenten blessings as we await His Resurrection and the continuation of our Easter journey.
Peter Chouinard for the Constitution Working Group

PRESIDENTS' LETTER and FINANCIAL REPORT 2014
| |
Dear CLC Members, As a World CLC-CVX community we are concluding an exciting year of celebrations honoring 450 years of Ignatian lay communities while CLC Canada's Common Mission statement is forefront in a process of review and evaluation after 15 years since its inception. At the Lebanon World Assembly summer 2013, our CLC-CVX presence within the church and among Jesuits as a lay apostolic body was strongly affirmed. Our members continue to 'radically transform' the very way we look at our financial commitments in annual membership donations; together we make it possible to invest in support of our mandate in forming our members spiritually for leadership in community, to the vision and discernment of the World CLC prophetic call... building relationships in common apostolic mission with a universal 'wisdom language'. Provided in this letter is an update of our financial status and how CLC Canada is discerning support of the CLC pillars of spirituality, community and mission. read more

SAINT JOHN ASSEMBLY PRAYER |
 | "As for the seed that fell on good soil it is the one who hears the word and understands it: it bears fruit and produces a hundred, or sixty or thirty times more." |
|
Loving creator God, we give You all thanks and praise for Your unending love. Help us in our Assembly preparations to welcome your call to the "Magis" and deepen our vocational call to be committed members of our CLC lay apostolic community.
We recall with gratitude our CLC roots and those who came before us; those who planted seeds in the good soil; those who listened well to Your voice; those who laboured freely on the fertile ground of our formation for mission.
Lord Jesus, we too want to be free to hear Your voice and so we pray with grateful hearts to the One who eternally listens with compassion to our petitions. Holy Spirit, grant us the grace to respond generously to the Father's will as we prepare for our National Assembly.
Blessed Trinity be with us in each of our frontiers, help us and guide us to become one with You as we discern well our missions toward the greater good, the "Magis", and for your greater praise and glory.
We ask this in name of Christ Jesus Our Lord. AMEN.
Holy Mary, Mother of God - Pray for us. , Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, pray for us. , St. Ignatius - Pray for us. , Fr. John English, sj - Pray for us. , Fr. Jim Profit, sj - Pray for us,
Amen May 29-June 1, 2014
