THE PURPOSE FOR THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

The National Assembly brings together the  Representatives of CLC Communities across Canada. It is a time of prayer, sharing of dreams and vision, celebration, business, discernment and decision making with one another for CLC Canada. The World Assembly, August 2013 in Lebanon emerged with the following priorities: Globalization, Ecology, Family and Youth. While World CLC determines the norms and policies and discerns the vision of CLC over the next five year period, it is our National CLC whose goals are to further the vision of World CLC. The General Council will, during the course of its mandate, work toward the implementation of the discerned decisions made by the National General Assembly.

A warm welcome awaits you at the Villa Madonna Retreat House!

Since 1931, over half a million people have discovered our oasis just 10 minutes east of the Saint John, New Brunswick airport.  They have come to the Villa alone or in groups to be nourished and renewed in body, mind, and spirit.  Secluded from the world that goes on outside its gates, our grounds have a timeless beauty and provide a serene setting that people return to again and again.

The Villa Madonna Retreat House is nestled in 102 acres of rustic woodland on the shores of the beautiful Kennebecasis River.  We are open year-round with every season offering its' own natural beauty.

Visitors enjoy the peace and quiet that surrounds them on the paths through the woodlands and along the river any time of year. Inside the building, visitors find casual, comfortable facilities that provide a relaxing environment in which to rest, reflect, and be renewed.

The Villa Madonna Retreat House is a non-smoking facility!
