iPad Initiative

An iPad mini will soon be in the hands of every Crowley ISD 7th-12th grade student. The district is on schedule to begin distributing almost 7,000 of the digital learning devices in October. The iPad minis will provide a greater level of educational enrichment and enhancement to current curriculum and are more cost-effective than traditional textbooks.

Secure internet filters are installed on every device to protect students online while at home and at school. Students will be required to pay a $50 Technology Usage Fee and supplemental insurance is available for purchase through a third-party provider.

Global Prep Academy

Families across southern Tarrant County are choosing Crowley ISD's new Global Prep Academy for tuition-free, virtual education. The academy offers "blended" learning for 7th-12th grade with online classes in a traditional brick-and-mortar building.

Global Prep Academy students meet at the Bill R. Johnson Career and Technology Center to access and complete their coursework online. This Digital Learning Community provides a challenging, flexible and personalized learning environment. Our academy offers an engaging program customized to each student's unique talents and schedule.

Two-Way Dual Language Program

Students attending Crowley ISD's new Two-Way Dual Language Program are receiving instruction in both English and Spanish. This program provides students the opportunity to become bilingual and each class has a 50/50 balance of English and Spanish-speaking students.

This program, housed at Oakmont Elementary School and Deer Creek Elementary School, is currently offered to students in Kindergarten and First Grade from across Crowley ISD and will expand to higher grade levels each school year.
