Seven students representing Crowley ISD's TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) and the  Bill R. Johnson CTE Center brought home top awards after attending the TAFE Teach Tomorrow Summit State Conference and Competition in San Antonio on February 17-19.

  • Outstanding TAFE Chapter (awarded to CISD for the second year in a row)
  • First Place Blue Ribbon: Project Visualize Service Project on Sandy Hook Elementary and school safety
  • First Place Blue Ribbon: TAFE Chapter Yearbook
  • Six Gold Certificates: Professional Portfolio Preparation
  • One Silver Certificate: Professional Portfolio Preparation
  • Outstanding TAFE Senior: Kelsey Rivers, finalist
  • Distinguished Service Advisor Award: Bobette Vroon for assisting Burleson ISD in starting TAFE program
CISD Hosts Realtors and Developers Luncheon
CISD's Realtors and Developers Luncheon, catered by the Culinary Arts students, at the Bill R. Johnson CTE Center.

The Community Connections for Student Success Initiative hosted over seventy 70 guests at the Realtors and Developers Luncheon on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Bill R. Johnson Career & Technology Education Center.   

 

The informative program, led by Dr. Dan Powell, Superintendent of Schools featured a presentation of CISD and its many Points of Pride which can be viewed online here.
