Mount Rainier National Park
From ranger-led snowshoe hikes to sledding at Paradise, Mount Rainier offers opportunities galore for winter activities. Their website offers tips and schedules for the many winter wonderlands available to you! Make sure to check the road conditions in your plans, as the road from Longmire to Paradise is open dependent on the weather and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Often, you'll be required to have chains in your vehicle.

North Cascades National Park
Although the parks are serene and beautiful when covered with a fresh blanket of snow, they can also be dangerous if you're not prepared. Thanks to the rangers at each park, you can leave the house well-prepared for the weather you'll experience! Check out North Cascades' trail conditions page, and make sure you're well equipped for adventure!

Olympic National Park
Take advantage of the snow at Hurricane Ridge and plan a trip on Friday, Saturday or Sunday to ski or snowshoe this beautiful part of the park. For more information about what Olympic National Park offers during the colder season, check out their website.
Work on the Elwha River Restoration continues throughout the winter; you can follow it here.
Olympic and Mount Rainier National Parks will be waiving their entrance fees on January 21st in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
