Goodbye to Demurrers?
The word around Sacramento is that the California Legislature is considering new rules in 2015 intended either to limit or eliminate altogether the use of demurrers and certain motions to compel discovery responses. This is in response to a growing number of trial court judges who feel overwhelmed by the volume of defense law-and-motion matters on their dockets.

This Year's Achievements

The firm was a sponsor again of the annual SCAHRM and West Coast Casualty seminars.
We presented seminars at the West Coast Casualty seminar and to the Pacific Claim Executives Association.
We opened a new office in San Diego, California.
Deborah deBoer was honored as a Super Lawyer in the area of Healthcare litigation.
Jeff Keane won three defense verdicts.
Sandy Calin prevailed on a writ petition to the United States Supreme Court.
