Cans to Can Hunger

This summer, join EHBC Promiseland/Solid Rock kids as they focus on local Missions! We are holding a targeted canned food drive to supply local area food pantries with a years supply of

canned fruit! We are asking that EHBC families donate 5-10, 15 oz. cans (medium size) of fruit over the course of the summer. This is an item that is rarely donated. Pantries normally must purchase this in order to supply balanced nutrition in the meals they provide to families in need. Donation containers will be located in the Foyer and in the Promiseland rooms. Your donation will directly help families struggling to provide nutritious meals for themselves and their children. Thank you!

Kingdom Rock

There are many Kingdom Crew Small Group Leader/ Helper opportunities still available on July 28, August 4, August 11, August 18, August 25, and September 1 for both 9:30am & 11am services. Missions...

The Oneida flood victims that were helped last Saturday were very grateful to those that helped clean up their homes and property. You served them in a tangible way that met them at their point of need. The Oneida City will be reassessing needs over the next few weeks and move into a long term plan rather than immediate need. We will also be assessing what and how we might be able to provide help and opportunities. More information will come in a few weeks. Check back here and the Eastern Hills Facebook page where dates and times will be posted when available.

Foreign Exchange Students
CIEE USA High School Program

Currently looking for an individual and/or family to host an exchange student. There are three who are coming to the Syracuse area in August:

Samo is a 17 year old boy from Slovakia. "I consider myself to be an above-average student who is very ambitious to be the best in whatever I do." He likes to kayak, run, ski, swim and work out. Here he would like to play American football and other sports. His favorite subjects are Biology and Chemistry. He hopes to be a neurologist in the future. He doesn't' have any siblings. He doesn't have any pets, but he likes animals. He is excited to "be involved in the American Dream."

Marie is a 16 year old girl from Germany. "My greatest hobby is hip-hop dancing which I do keenly and with a lot of passion." She works as a hip hop dance teacher at her sports club. She also enjoys horseback riding, cycling, jogging, and drama club. She looks forward to drama club and track and field at her US school. Marie is an only child and enjoys jogging with her dad.

Thomas is a 16 year old boy from France. "I was nine when I discovered your country for the first time. I went to New York with my family for ten days. What a wonderful experience for a young boy!" He likes sports, hanging out with friends and family, and history. His favorite sport is American football and he hopes to play it while here. He is also interested in playing soccer. He attends an international boarding school. He has two older sisters. He is ok to live with pets. He is excited to experience life as an American teenager.
