Cans to Can Hunger   
This summer, join EHBC Promiseland/Solid Rock kids as they focus on local Missions! We are holding a targeted canned food drive to supply local area food pantries with a years supply of canned fruit! We are asking that EHBC families donate 5-10, 15 oz. cans (medium size) of fruit over the course of the summer. This is an item that is rarely donated.  Pantries normally must purchase this in order to supply balanced nutrition in the meals they provide to families in need. Donation containers will be located in the Foyer and in the Promiseland rooms. Your donation will directly help families struggling to provide nutritious meals for themselves and their children. Thank you!

Kingdom Rock
There are many Kingdom Crew Small Group Leader/ Helper opportunities still available on July 28, August 4, August 11, August 18, August 25, and September 1 for both 9:30am & 11am services.  No preparation is required! Sign-up at the Promiseland Welcome Desk area.  Check out the Kingdom Rock volunteer sign-up board to see the available dates & service times. Summit Church Community VBS
July 22-26, 9am-12pm, Summit Church  (21 Lincklaen St, Caz) Face Your Fears at Colossal Coaster World Tap into God's promise to give you courage to face your fears by trusting Him. Your day at the park will include Bible stories about Paul and his journey to face his fears by trusting God! Missions...

The flood waters may have receded but the work is ongoing in Oneida. We will have another Oneida Flood Clean Up day SATURDAY, July 20, 9:30am. *If you come after 9:30 call Rod Plemons at 315-290-2558 for exact on site location later in the day.

NEW LOCATION: We will meet in Oneida at the City of Oneida Recreation Center, 217 Cedar Street.  Take Main Street, Rt. 46 through downtown, turn right on Cedar, just before Lenox Ave.

Be prepared to de-muck or whatever else is needed, including yard work and clean up.  If possible bring the following items:
  • Wear clothes that will get dirty
  • Work boots or rubber boots, no open toes 
  • Flat edged shovels
  • Empty 5 gallon buckets
  • Wheel barrel if you can bring it
  • Work gloves
  • Eye protection
  • Dust masks
  • Generators or power cords
  • Saws-alls
  • Cordless drills/impact driver
  • Work light
  • Nail puller/pry bar/wrecking bar
Not necessary to bring any equipment, just a willingness to help, serve, get dirty. See you Saturday in Oneida, 9:30am, 217 Cedar Street. Rod Plemons 290-2558 cell.

Eagle's Wings Academy
Eagle's Wings Academy (EWA) is a small Christian school in Syracuse that works with 35 students and their families to provide an opportunity to provide a school setting that addresses educational needs, character education and generational poverty. Sherry Tester from Eastern Hills will be working with EWA to provide mentors for the students next school year that would include developing relationships, providing encouragement and a mentoring relationship throughout the school year. 

There will be opportunities this summer to get to know the students and begin building relationships through two activities in July and August.  If you would like more information on how you might get involved contact Sherry Tester at dantester@aol.com
