Cans to Can Hunger

This summer, join EHBC Promiseland/Solid Rock kids as they focus on local Missions! We are holding a targeted canned food drive to supply local area food pantries with a years supply of

canned fruit! We are asking that EHBC families donate 5-10, 15 oz. cans (medium size) of fruit over the course of the summer. This is an item that is rarely donated. Pantries normally must purchase this in order to supply balanced nutrition in the meals they provide to families in need. Donation containers will be located in the Foyer and in the Promiseland rooms. Your donation will directly help families struggling to provide nutritious meals for themselves and their children. Thank you!

Student Community NEED:
Student Community is in need of two vans (or vehicle with comparable seating) to transport our high school students to Salisbury, MD for CIY Move, July 29- Aug 2. Oneida Flooding

The flooding in neighboring Oneida has displaced approximately 250 families and 40+ businesses. Here are several ways you can help:

and Friends to demuck and clean up flooded homes. (hard work) We are putting a team together to go to Onedia on Friday, July 12 and Saturday July 13.More details coming.

Eagle's Wings Academy

Eagle's Wings Academy (EWA) is a small Christian school in Syracuse that works with 35 students and their families to provide an opportunity to provide a school setting that addresses educational needs, character education and generational poverty. Sherry Tester from Eastern Hills will be working with EWA to provide mentors for the students next school year that would include developing relationships, providing encouragement and a mentoring relationship throughout the school year.

There will be opportunities this summer to get to know the students and begin building relationships through two activities in July and August. If you would like more information on how you might get involved contact Sherry Tester at dantester@aol.com
