Autoimmune Disease
| |
The incidence of autoimmune diseases are rising at an alarming rate. Diseases like irritable bowel syndrome, crohns, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, lupus, asthma, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, thyroid disease and other autoimmune diseases are becoming more and more common.
An autoimmune disease is a disease process in which abnormal antibodies are produced that causes impaired function and destruction of bodily tissue. Basically, the body attacks itself. Why does the body resort to such a self destructive act?
The body attacks itself when there is a severe ongoing imbalance. It is confused in what it should fight against. It doesn't decide one day to turn on itself, but instead is reacting to an accumulation of bombardments by multiple immune challenges.
Autoimmune disease incidence occurs almost exclusively in developed countries. Many countries that are underdeveloped, and have less access to pesticides on foods and toxins in their immediate environments, do not have an incidence of autoimmune diseases. People that grew up in rural environments and had a lot of exposure to animals, who spent a lot of time out in nature playing in the dirt, have less incidence of autoimmune disease.
The theory is that since these people are exposed to many different types of organisms from the time they are young, their immune systems are heartier and can identify what needs to be dealt with. It knows better how to work properly. Many children today grow up in very sterile environments. They live in urban and suburban environments, which are so sterile that there immune systems don't develop properly to identify the real problem invaders.
Donna Jackson Nakawza, author of "The autoimmune epidemic" implicates the bioaccumulation of toxins that pervade our homes, our food, and our environments as one cause of the rise of autoimmune disease.
No time in our history on this planet have we been subjected to this many plastics, metals, and man made toxins each and every day. This is cumulative and is only getting worse.
Our immune systems become weakened by this accumulation of toxins and may attack itself as a result. Chemicals and heavy metals are some of the toxins that can accumulate in our bodily tissues. Any autoimmune disease is associated with great amounts of inflammation. This inflammation also causes major problems for the body.
Conventional medicine looks to find a diagnosis and cover up the inflammation caused by the autoimmune reaction with steroids, pain reducing drugs etc. This never gets to the cause of the problem but rather is a bandaid allowing sufferers to have less pain and some symptom relief. This comes at a cost as the side effects are numerous and lead to many other problems.
Muscle testing looks to identify positive immune challenges such as chemicals, heavy metal toxicity, food sensitivities, yeast and fungus overgrowth, microorganism dysbiosis such as parasites, amoebas, rickettsias, spirochetes, and other microorganism imbalance, hypercoagulation, and anything that may be contributing to the body's autoimmune reaction. There is always a root cause of an autoimmune disease and the body will react by attacking itself when there are multiple imbalances.
When muscle testing identifies a specific imbalance in the body, nutritional supplements such as homeopathics, herbs, vitamins, minerals, and protomorphogens are recommended to help the body rid of the specific imbalance. The autoimmune disease is not treated, rather the body is given support for the possible multiple causes of the autoimmune disease. When these imbalances are addressed and food sensitivities are identified and avoided by the patient, the body has the ability to heal and regenerate.
The interaction of genes with toxins and immune challenges may also play a role in determining who gets autoimmune disease symptoms. This may explain why certain people develop symptoms and others exposed to many of the same factors do not.
Nutritional supplements offer the body the ability to detox from the causes of autoimmune disease and help the immune system to function better. They allow the immune system the ability to be able to detect what is a foreign invader versus what is part of its own system. They are completely safe and offer true healing without the awful side effects from drugs. Nutritional supplements combined with muscle testing allow sufferers from autoimmune disease to get their lives back.
If you or anyone you know is suffering from an autoimmune disorder, I would be very happy to help them achieve greater health and wellness.
Healthfully yours, Dr. Lou Granirer |
