So Long Summer!

It was a beautiful summer at the Community Farm of Simsbury for people of all ages! The Farm hosted 2 Farm to Table Dinners thanks to Tyler Anderson of Millwrights and Chris Prosperi of Metro Bis. Diners enjoyed incredible food under the stars.

Over 220 kids attended Farm camp where

they explored the farm through grade appropriate science, reading, and writing activities as well as through games, gardening, animal care and and arts and crafts.

Even Nunca the dog was tired after a day at camp!

Back to School!

Gifts of Love, local businesses, The Hartford

The Hartford employees from the Windsor office participated in the annual school supply drive

and concerned citizens of all ages ensure that students had a great start to their school year by supplying over 600 backpacks to our client's children. Backpacks are filled with everything a student needs based on school supply lists.

Simsbury employees also participated and combined, The Hartford donated 500 backpacks

Shoppers from ShopRite in Canton also donated supplies for the backpacks

By assisting our clients with school sup

plies, we allow them to use their income on other necessities such as rent, car repairs and gas, or medications. Every day, clients come to us for help as they struggle to find a way to take care of their children on low, minimum wage jobs or on a single income.

Ella Szczepanski of Farmington, collected school supplies instead of birthday presents for her 10th birthday
We are so proud of this community effort! And thank everyone that participated!

Gifts of Love and Community Farm of Simsbury recently merged to build the capacity of people by creating positive change in their lives, improve food security and lessen the impact of financial crisis for people in need.

We accomplish this by producing and distributing food, offering farm-based and life-skill educational programming, and providing critical, sustaining tangible supports to those in need.
