Is cold calling becoming an outdated and unsuccessful sales tactic? We thought these key points were worth checking out, taken from an article on Mashable.com.

Build customer relationships by creating valuable content. Tell the story of your company or non-profit through more creative and visual strategies. Your customer is essentially a consumer, appeal to them through content they want to consume.

Know who you are selling to. Use the internet and social media to research your customer and their industry. Use this background to know when and how to send your appeal. If your pitch comes at the perfect time before their busy season and provides the solution to a common problem within the industry, your call is less likely to get overlooked.

Rethink how you interact with people. Before you utilize every tool available (and there are a lot), consider the message and voice you will use. Careful and strategic messaging to a specific market will work in your benefit, regardless of how many calls you make.
