I'm not going to lie...it has been a LONG, cold, difficult winter for all of us in Wisconsin. Well, in most of the country actually. Polar vortex, arctic blast, call it what you will; I can't wait until it's gone! So in the spirit of positive thinking and looking forward to better things, I am embracing spring in  this newsletter! From implementing strategies to be able to work smarter to reading a short article to keep informed on technology updates, we hope this month's newsletter is an interesting, quick read to inform you and get you ready to be more efficient...and maybe allow you to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather once it gets here!

It's Warm Out...
Time To Leave the Office!
Since this seems like the longest winter in all of mankind, maybe it's time we start thinking positive about the countdown to the spring and summer months!
 All that I can think about right now is how I recently returned from a wonderful family vacation in Mexico (highly recommended) and how I just want to go right back! Not because I don't love what I do, but because these frigid temperatures that we've experienced this year need to come to an end.
How about yourselves? Are you looking forward to fresh cut flowers and warm sunny days, or are you more stressed about what your work load is going to look like, and what tasks you will need to accomplish to stay ahead of the game?
If the latter is true, you might want to consider what your options are to alleviate that stress and take some tasks off your plate in order to enjoy more of the sunshine, and appreciate the time you can spend with your family and friends.

The End To Windows XP
Now What?
I think the trouble with buying any new type of technology, whether it is the latest phone, tablet, television, or computer system, is the second you take the technology from the shelf, software developers are a day away from announcing another updated version.
And it's happened again. In case you haven't heard the news, Microsoft has announced there will be no further technical assistance for the Windows XP system as of April 8, 2014.

Carol Harris-Fike holds PCC (Professional Certified Coach) credentials from the International Coaching Federation. She serves individuals across North America, Europe, and Asia as a Personal Leadership Coach. She holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation. She earned the NCOC (Newfield Certified Ontological Coach) certification through Newfield Network, an international ontological coach training organization.
Carol's 20 years as an administrator in public education enriches her understanding of the importance of knowing how to connect with others to make a difference. Areas of expertise include an understanding of the latest research in the science of the brain/body and how our view of the world affects how we think, feel, and move and, thus, how we appear to others with whom we interact.
She has degrees from Texas Tech University and the University of Texas. Carol's book: 5 Life Energies: The Choice You Have in How Energy Shapes Your Life was published in October 2009.
Her latest project, created with three other coaches, is JICT Images: Journey with Intuition & Creativity to Transformation, a box of 72 evocative images designed to create a metaphor for users that lead groups and individuals to the "heart of the matter".

Impact Virtual Services has supported CHF Coaching & Consulting, LLC since 2009. Carol Harris-Fike delegates to the Impact Team those tasks that would take time from the work that she most loves. For Carol that includes designing and periodically updating her website as well as posting to Social Media sites, publishing her monthly newsletter and submitting her articles to publishing sites.
