DIY Online Marketing
Easy Stuff.....

Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, social media icons Pinterest and LinkedIn are all simple DIY online marketing strategies.

The key with these popular social media sites is to be on them often and provide relevant, helpful and entertaining information.

Facebook is an easy way to start a conversation with your customers to improve brand loyalty. Ask for feedback!

Twitter can be used to announce new products, chat about news items in your industry or offer discounts.

Google Plus is a hybrid between Facebook and Twitter, allowing for group conversations with some of your techier customers and possible prospects.

Pinterest, the highly addictive bulletin board is a great visual way to display products and share interesting content. Pin stuff for information, share it, use it, like it.

Lastly, LinkedIn, especially the forums section is a developing a strong rep by answering questions with regard to a particular industry. Get in those forums and become an industry leader.

The hard part comes along with the following questions: How often do I go on these social media sites? When is the best time to post? WHAT should I post?

You can get some answers with my SEO and social media guide on my website. If you'd like Pegleg Web Designs to assist consulting you with social media and the more detailed attributes of the same, please give us a call!

A Little Guidance, Please
QR Codes, lead generation services, social media ads, and link building are just a few of several options that would require a little guidance if you're not technically "aware."

QR CodeWho doesn't have a QR code these days? You? Pegleg Web Designs can make one for you! Just contact us. These smart little codes allow smartphone owners to scan them and be directed to a webpage that contains information about the business or that particular product.

Lead generation services offer guaranteed customers - if you're able to sell them after their initial request. Some sites charge a membership fee while others take a percentage of the contract amount. Some of these sites are: Thumbtack and ServiceMagic.

Social media ads on Facebook and LinkedIn are easy to set up, but targeting demographics may be a bit trickier. The ads can be set at a lifetime limit you are comfortable with, and you can base it on page likes or clicks.

Link building is probably the most important aspect of SEO these days. When done well, it's one of the most successful long term strategies on the list. It's also one of the hardest to attain since it often takes networking and time.
Technical Assistance Required

Websites and website SEO as well as mobile apps are not for the faint at heart. Building a basic template website is easy, but getting your business noticed online using SEO strategies is the reason you built that website to begin with....you want to get noticed online and start ranking in those search results.

A website alone does not make you number one on a search ranking. Today, it takes a blog, social media work (a lot of it), as well as e-newsletters and articles that you can write and place online thru various outlets. I just found one which is pretty cool. It's called Exploreb2b and not only do you place your profile information on there, you can place articles about your industry related topics and search out others within your industry for brainstorming and information gathering.
