 Newcomers Meeting
Many thanks to Martha Henrichs for a fun program, "Quilt As You Go", at the February Newcomers meeting. The six newcomers also enjoyed learning about the Guild retreat process from Terry Holt.
Newcomers was formed for the purpose of allowing new members to learn how the Guild functions, to meet other new members in a small setting, and hopefully form or join a small group.
All new members who have joined the Guild within the past year are invited to join our Newcomers meetings. We meet the third Tuesday of the month at the Urbandale Library, Room B, at 6:30 p.m. Our March 18th meeting will feature Board member, Marilyn Dillivan, who will speak about the Treasurer's duties. Pat Hjelmeland will present a prgram on "Finishing, Binding, and Labeling Your Quilt." Don't forget to bring your Show-N-Tell.
A quick reminder - the library does not allow food or drink in the meeting rooms.
I look forward to see you on the 18th!
Karen Macon
Vice President

Guild Programs & Workshops
We would like to send out a big THANK YOU to the Sew Sew Joyful small group for fun-filled February programs. Another THANK YOU goes out to our February workshop instructors and participants.
Many of you ask us when workshop supply lists will be available. Supply lists will be available on our website, www.dmaqg.org, one to two weeks prior to each workshop.
Our 2014 slate of speakers has generated much interest. Needless to say, all classes are quickly filling, so please don't delay in signing up for any class you are thinking of taking. Wait lists will be kept for filled classes and spaces usually become available at the last minute. If you'd like to be placed on the wait list for any class, please contact Ann Reed, 515-276-6005.
Let's continue to make 2014 a fun-filled year of learning!
