Changes in Ohio Sales Tax and Ohio Employer Witholding
As a result of tax changes contained in Ohio Amended Substitute House Bill 59 signed into law on June 30, 2013, the following changes are effective September 1, 2013.
Sales and Use Tax
Effective September 1, 2013, the Ohio sales and use rate increases by 0.25% statewide.

Please update your systems and procedure accordingly to take into account the new rates starting with goods sold or services provided on September 1, 2013.
Ohio Employer Withholding
Effective September 1, 2013, the Ohio Department of Taxation has issued new employer withholding tables to be used for payrolls that end on or after September 1, 2013.
The new withholding table takes into consideration a rate reduction in Ohio individual income tax rates in effect for taxable years 2013 and 2014. The new tables are to be used for the remainder of the 2013 calendar year and for all of 2014.
Please update your systems and procedure accordingly to take into account the new withholding rates starting with payrolls that ended on or after September 1, 2013.
