Fair Trade, Organic, "Kaffeeklatsch" coffee for sale!  Bags of coffee are available at the back of the sanctuary after Sunday services.

Remember, Fair Trade products help ensure that:

1) Unjust labor practices, such as child slavery, are not used.

2) Farmers and workers are paid fair wages and have a voice in the organization to which they sell their products.

3) Environmental sustainability is held as an important goal.

Plus, proceeds are used to help fund Social Justice projects!

"Our Place in the Universe"

Brad Korb

Science has shown that we occupy a very small place in the universe. The astronauts that have traveled to the moon have seen first hand how small and fragile our planet is and have returned from their journeys changed. What lessons can we learn from science and the astronauts' experiences? How can these lessons about our place in the universe change our lives? This Sunday's service will explore our place in the universe and how that realization can affect how we treat ourselves, others, and our planet.

Monthly Interweave Potluck & Game Night: Everyone is Welcome!

chalice w/rainbow flame UUCH's Interweave is an Outreach Group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) peoples and their friends and allies. On the 3rd Friday of each month, we hold a "Potluck and Game Night" to eat, play, and have a good time in a "safe zone" for the LGBTQ. We hope that our allies will come out and join in the fun so that we have a good mix of LGBTQ and A's participating.

This Month's Potluck/Game night will be held Friday, July 19th, from 6:30-9pm, here at the church.

Contact Denise Runnels or Morgan Justice for more information.

UUCH Newcomers Social
August 10th--Save the Date!

If you started attending UUCH within the past year or so, we hope you will make plans to attend the Newcomer's Social to be held on Saturday, August 10th at 6 p.m.

This will be a casual evening of fellowship and fun complete with food, drinks, and childcare, and will be held at the home of Brad, Pam, and Sarah Korb. Also attending will be members of the church Board and Council, and others in leadership positions.  We look forward to this social opportunity to get to know you better, and to help you get to know us better too.

More details and invitations will be provided closer to the August 10th date.  Please save the date so we can celebrate you--our new UUCH members and friends!
