21 in 21- Turn it to Your Advantage

Is your team back from the holidays full force or are they lingering over what to do next? You can turn on your team by sharing the 21 in 21. I have found it to rejuvenate an older team as well as a way to get people started quickly. People love the fact they can get back their investment and more within a few days or weeks of starting to grow their business.
I even include this promotion when I talk to people about the business. I do mention this is only for business builders, people that come in with 6 boxes. Besides getting 3 free boxes, they get the opportunity to double their bonuses if they move 21 boxes in 21 days or less.
This is another great reason to start as a Business builder! I do mention some people are doing it in a day and some people are actually doing it over and over. As soon as they finish it, they start another 21. Can you imagine the money some people are making? Maryann Carlin, a CPA, did a spreadsheet on this and found that if you repeatedly did the 21 in 21 every 21 days for a year and half your people did the same, your income would be over $816,000 a year!

For one thing, it is very easy to explain to new distributors how we do the business by showing how they can double their bonus by bringing in as few as 4 or 5 people. It can be 4 business builders or any combination of associates, affiliates and business builders as long as the boxes add up to 21 in 21 days. It's that easy. Not only do they make around $1125, but they become Executives.
This is the first thing I share in their 48 hour training. When I receive notice that they have sponsored someone, I immediately send out an email congratulating them and tell them how many boxes they need in the next 21 days. I have a running account for quite a few distributors and often they are calling and asking how many do I still need and what date do I have to finish it. It's interesting how the excitement is catching on. They are telling their new people about the checks they are receiving, saying all I did was the 21 in 21! The new people are following what their sponsor did. Of course, we do give them their GPG pins and recognize them for a job well done.

What I love is it is a fast way to move up the ranks.
I think it is so important to build your business quickly. People catch the fire of enthusiasm and success by hearing about who is moving up, who is building a wonderful team. It is contagious! If it is slowly building, people do get discouraged and slow down, sometimes to a halt. Can you think of a faster way to move up the ladder?  If they have 3 personally enrolled people do the 21 in 21, they become Bronze. If they have 6, they are Silver.
It is the fastest and easiest way to build a team. It is a great way to get your Bronzes and Silvers in place to move to the ranks of Gold and Platinum, respectively. The more you encourage your team to do this, the larger their team will become and pretty soon your volume and their's will be in place consistently.

If you haven't already, strategize with your team how they too can turn on to this new concept and put more excitement into their business.

Why I Only Carry One Business Card,
by Andy Elwood from Forbes Magazine

If I see that "Make sure to bring lots of business cards" is written on an event invitation, I tend to RSVP cautiously for a couple of reasons. First, the fact that it is an event that attracts people who have "lots of business cards" to give out is concerning and second, there aren't many future clients that attend events at which suited vultures circle the lone prospect in the room, ruining what would otherwise be a perfectly enjoyable cocktail hour. While most people would tell you that they believe business cards in their current physical form are on their way out, no one has really cracked the code on what will replace them. There have been attempts at virtual business cards and smartphone-tapping shenanigans, but they haven't really ever taken off. So, while we wait for the day when we can shake hands with someone and immediately be connected on LinkedIn, I'll share my own business card innovation.

I only carry one business card at a time. Now, for someone who works pretty hard to be in the right place at the right time, you might be curious as to why I would leave myself vulnerable for that moment when I bump into a potentially huge future client without a trusty business card in my suit pocket. The answer is this: it doesn't matter if they have my contact information, I need theirs. The moment I give them my business card is the moment they feel like they've done the polite thing in accepting my advance, but now, they don't have to respond in kind and we all know for a fact that they're not going to call me the next day to say, "Great to meet you, I'd like you to come sell me something this afternoon."

Here is how I approach the situation a little bit differently.
When I walk into an event, I give my lone business card to the first person I meet. I've given it to valets, coat checkers, receptionists, and bartenders before. Then, when I come across someone who I actually would like to see again, I say, "You know what, I just gave out my last card." I then pull out my phone and without looking up say, "What's your cell, I'll give you a shout tomorrow." I then wait for them to give me their contact information, which 9 times out of 10 they do. I then tell them that I will reach out at a specific time in the next couple days and, when walking away, make a note on my calendar to do so. Whenever you meet someone that you would like to build a relationship with, you always want to make sure that you keep the ball in your court and be the one moving that conversation along. There is nothing worse than hearing someone say, "I gave them my business card but they never called. Oh well."
