State Recognizes City for Improved ISO Rating
The State Fire Marshall's Office Tuesday recognized the City of Beaumont for its improved Public Protection Classification, issued by independent Insurance Services Commission. The city went from a rating of 4 to a rating of 2, on a scale of 10, with 1 being the best possible rating. The ISO Fire Suppression Rating Schedule rates the City's fire service, fire communications, water utilities, and building code enforcement. Home- and business-owners are encouraged to contact their insurance companies to make sure that their insurance carrier is aware of the improved rating. |
Let Go of Your Legos for Library Programs
The R.C. Miller Library Children's Department is asking for donations of new or used Legos for several planned events. Any size or shape will be accepted. Drop Legos off at Circulation or Children's Department. The library is located at 1605 Dowlen Road. For more information, call 409-866-9487. |
Lunch at the Lake Resumes March 4
The City of Beaumont will resume its "Lunch at the Lake" series on Monday, March 4, at the Beaumont Event Centre. The city provides the seating and scenery, and lunch is available for purchase from a variety of mobile food units. Patrons can also bring their lunch from any eatery. The series will continue every Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Event Centre is located at 700 Crockett St.

Dahlila is a 7-month-old female, unspayed cat. She loves kids and has a great personality.
The city animal shelter is located at 1884 Pine St., and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
