Beaumont, Texas - Due to weather delays, the City of Beaumont will be extending maintenance work they are performing  on a portion of E. Lucas Drive. Sections of the road will be taken down to two lanes for the duration of the work, which is scheduled to take place each day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

The work is expected to be extended through Friday, Feb. 22. During that time, crews will mill and overlay asphalt on E. Lucas from the railroad tracks west of Helbig Road to the north frontage road east of Highway 69.

 

Motorists are advised to exercise caution and observe warning signs and barricades when traveling in the area.
