 Time for a Change
|

|
Greetings!
Today I got my hair cut. It was time for a change.
In fact, it's almost always time for a change. We have only two choices: we can choose to change or we can face the changes that happen around us. It's particularly important that we face change with courage and skill when other people are relying on our leadership. Whether or not you think of yourself as a leader, there are probably people who count on you to know how to handle change.
That's why we offer such a wide range of courses: different applications, different lengths, different skill levels. Because once you know that you can trust us to help you bring your best self to every change, you are going to want to come back. And back again.
Change will keep happening. You'll become expert at managing some of the layers of change and then find yourself faced with a challenge you did not expect. You'll want to do the work to change with more precision and less effort. You'll find people you want to lead and you'll need new levels of skill to do it well.
Whether you are brand new to both NLP and leadership or a very competent practitioner with many years of experience, I guarantee you'll find something here to interest you, something that would make a real difference as you move forward.
NLP Practitioner training is a great step. But it's only one step. And to encourage people to take that step (and then the next one), we are pleased to announce a significant drop in the price of practitioner training. Our new price is only $1595 + HST. Now it will be easier for people to get funding from their corporations, easier for individuals to make payments, and easier for practitioners to decide to continue their training.
We hope to see you soon,
 Linda Ferguson, Ph.D. Senior Partner

A Brief Experience of NLP
Unless otherwise noted, all events take place at 47 Queen's Park Cres. E., Toronto, ON. All events require registration by calling Carole at 416-928-2394.
If the word Introduction conjures up thinly veiled sales pitches or a superficial explanations and demonstrations, then we do not do introductions. What we do at NLP Canada Training is provide brief experiences of NLP, grounded in discussion and demonstration. Our evening and one day courses are all designed to use NLP to give participants the chance to do real work on real problems or skills. Evening courses offer different aspects or applications of change, influence, and decision making with NLP. Our new one day courses offer easy-to-remember processes for making change or making choices. All courses will appeal to newcomers and give them a brief experience of the difference that NLP could make in their thought, behaviours and lives. Of course, people who have taken NLP in other places and practitioners trained at NLP Canada Training frequently drop into these brief sessions for an opportunity to refresh their learning, gain a new application, or increase their skills. Next one day courses: Saturday March 16 NLP in a Nutshell for Personal Change, 9:30am to 4:30pm Sunday March 24 NLP in a Nutshell for Coaching, 9:30am to 4:30pm $119.50 + HST (NLPCT Pracs save $29) Next evening events: Tuesday April 9: NLP for Leadership, 7:30pm to 9:30pm Wednesday, May 22: Shiftwork: Change with NLP, 7:30pm to 9:30pm No charge for evening events but donations to the Children's Aid Foundation are welcome.

NLP Practitioner Certification
When you are ready to make a significant change in your work, your life or your results, the NLP Practitioner certification is a great place to begin. Dr. Linda Ferguson is a gifted teacher who creates a safe environment for change. With expertise in NLP and a number of related models, she uses current best practices from a variety of fields to shape our training.
Here's what makes NLP Canada Training an exceptional place to learn:
- Jargon free teaching and learning in small groups
- Trainers who work to make sure you "get" the NLP and "get the shift" in understanding or perspective that will support your goals
- A clear sense of how NLP fits with other models of behaviour and change
- Engaging storytelling that makes concepts easy to learn and remember
- An advisory board drawn from different fields keeps training current and allows us to support you when you ask your organization for recognition or funding
- Discounts on future training and coaching at NLP Canada Training
You will make real progress on your own issues without sacrificing your privacy. No one will ask what you are "really" working on and no one will pressure you to sell courses to your friends and family members. You'll work with people from a variety of backgrounds who are all determined to take responsibility for the results and well-being they achieve. You'll learn current thinking and best practices on how people connect, make change and make choices.
This isn't the same NLP you heard about in 1990. This is the next step in the evolution of the study of human change and choice. We honour the people who came before us, but we are developing better, more efficient ways of building the skills they identified.
Next NLP Practitioner courses: Apr 26/27 and May 11/12 and May 25/26 2013 July 7-12 inclusive August 3-8 inclusive
We are a certified educational institute and provide tax certificates for tuition for the practitioner certification course. We also offer no fees, no interest payment plans customized to make NLP affordable for you. Call 416-928-2394 and talk to Carole.

The NLP Master Practitioner Certification
The NLP Practitioner Certification contains the core skills of leadership. The next step is to turn those skills into flexible strategies that can easily be adapted to different people and different situations. NLP Master Practitioners learn to recognize, change and energize patterns of thought and behaviour.
Our Master Practitioner course is divided into Shiftwork, Coursework and Storywork. In the first section, Masters learn to elicit the ways people structure their experience and to elicit and transform the strategies that people use to get results. They apply this new perspective in Coursework. They take the practitioner training with new practitioner candidates while learning to observe the wider patterns built into the practices and the course. Finally, in Storywork, Master Practitioners become master listeners, able to hear what is said and what is missing as people give meaning to their experience. Through this new awareness, Masters are able to work conversationally to help people get the same quality of "shifts" they get from the NLP exercises taught in the practitioner training.
Our Master Practitioner course is exceptional because Linda Ferguson is able to draw together so many different strands of thought and technique and present them in a way that is approachable and memorable. If you are an NLP practitioner who has used everything you learned and senses that there is more to learn, you are right. The Master Practitioner training will add layers to your understanding and allow you to show more elegant leadership whatever your field.
Weekend Master Practitioner: April 20/21 and Apr 27/28 and May 11/2 and May 25/26 and June 1/2 July Master Practitioner Intensive: July 6-14 inclusive August Master Practitioner Intensive August 1-9 inclusive Click here for details on hours.

NeuroLeadership Practices Some people are more interested in how to work a room than how to work a shift for an individual. They want to understand how choice and change work when you are speaking, facilitating, training or coaching groups. Our newest course is a four day exploration of how quickly leaders can develop the practical and psychological skills necessary to run a room better. This is a course for extremely competent people who are determined to become even stronger and more effective. There is very little training in how to lead groups that is good enough for people who are already competent at speaking, training or facilitating. Traditional models of training focus on presentation skills or on content development. There's a better way. What if we apply what we know about how people's brains and minds work to accelerate the development that usually comes with leadership experience? NeuroLeadership practices are tangible, repeatable behaviours that achieve results by applying what we know to be true about the way neurology functions. Neurology describes the whole information processing system that includes physiology, the senses, and the coding and creation of sensory information through reasoning and imagination. Understanding how people connect their experience in the room to the experiences that are already stored in their brains is a first step to getting better results with less resistance. The new course in NeuroLeadership Practices will run June 20-23 inclusive. It's going to be a unique opportunity with limited registration. If you are not already a practitioner certified by NLP Canada Training, please email Linda to arrange a phone interview. Admission by interview only. If you are already an NLPCT practitioner, Carole will be happy to take your registration at 416-928-2394.
