Annual Used Uniform Sale 
Thursday, May 16  
8 am to 3:45 pm 
The Studio
 (Located in the Fine Arts wing of the school)
 
The annual used uniform sale presents not only a great opportunity to purchase discounted uniform items for the upcoming school year, but it is also a great way to make a little extra money from the sale of gently used items your children may have outgrown.  A  portion of each sale benefits the Landmark Parent Association.  Click below for full information and guidelines, and for a printable copy of the price sheet required for sellers.  Note: There are a few changes in drop-off and pick-up from last year so please read the instructions and guidelines carefully.

General Info:

Due to parent response, the Town Hall meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 6 has been moved to next Tuesday, April 23.  Due to the anticipated attendance, the meeting will take place in the sanctuary of Fairburn First Baptist Church, directly across the street from the school.  The meeting will begin at 7 pm.

Middle School Spring Practice: April 29-May 3 (3:30-6:00) Practice will either be at Thorn or Garwood.

*Rising 7th/8th Graders

*Players should wear blue shorts and white t-shirts to practice. They will also need football cleats. All other equipment will be provided.

 

High School Spring Practice: May 6-17 (3:30-6:00) Practice will either be at Thorn or Garwood.

*Rising 9th-12th Graders

*Players should wear blue shorts and white t-shirts to practice. They will also need football cleats. All other equipment will be provided.

There will be one final Lost and Found Sale on Thursday, May 9 from 7:30 am until 9:30 am  in the School Cafeteria.  All lost items should be claimed by Wednesday, May 8th.  Any items not claimed will be donated and unclaimed LCS items will be placed in the Used Uniform Sale for purchase (proceeds donated to LCS Parents Club).  Questions? Those who ordered graduate yard signs may pick them up from the school store beginning  Monday, April 15.  The school store hours are:

 

Monday:  7:45-4pm (Closed 11:45-12:45 for Lunch)

Tuesday:  7:45-9:45am

Wednesday and Thursday:  7:45-9:45am and 2:00-4:00pm

Friday:  Closed

The middle school and the high school (9-11th grade) honors programs will be held during their respective chapels on Thursday, May 9.

If you have medicine in the school clinic, please come by before the following dates to pick up all medication.  Medicines may not be kept in the clinic over the summer.   Any medications left in the clinic  after the pick-up date will be discarded. 

 Seniors - Friday, May 3rd
K5-11th grade - Friday, May 24th

***The Golf Tournament is next Friday.  If you are planning to play and pay on the day of the event, it is imperative that you contact Jerome Clark per the contact info below today so placards can be printed.   Also, if you have not submitted your foursome names, please do so.****

Make plans now to play in Landmark's 7th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, April 26, at The Coweta Club at Arbor Springs Plantation in Newnan.  All proceeds benefit the athletic programs at Landmark.  Prizes will be awarded for longest drives, closest to the pins, and to the winning team.  There will be a raffle, great auction items, and breakfast and lunch will be provided for all tournament players.  Don't have a foursome? Congratulations!

The 2013 Fine Arts Talent Show & Auction was a huge success!  Landmark families and friends celebrated both the visual and performance arts talents of the Landmark students.  Guests also enjoyed a performance by the Landmark Jazz Band, led by Director Tony Daniel.  The Silent and Live Auctions raised over $16,000 and Landmark's student talent was on full display!  Here is the list of winners:

Landmark's 2012 yearbook has been recognized for excellence and featured in the 2013 Gotcha Covered Look Book, Volume 11 celebrating the best-of-the-best in yearbook design and coverage. The 2013 panel of judges, comprised of nationally recognized scholastic journalism professionals and award-winning yearbook advisers, selected the best examples of yearbook spreads and covers to make up the 352-page 2013 Look Book. This is the third consecutive year that Landmark's yearbook has earned this honor.

Juniors:  Remember that Spring is a great time to begin college visits.  Remember you are allowed two visits during your junior year.  Many schools have spring preview days, information can be found on the websites of the schools.

Seniors:  Please remember to turn in any college acceptances and/or scholarships that you receive.  Remember acceptances will not be placed on the senior wall without letters turned into guidance.
