Club News

During January and February the Jr. Beta Club collected young adult literature donations for the library at the AFLAC Cancer Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Over Winter Break, club representatives Will Clark and Abby Kroner joined sponsor Cathy Northcutt to deliver eight boxes of books to the AFLAC facility in Atlanta.  Also pictured is AFLAC representative Stephanie Borer. Thank you to everyone who donated books to this worthy cause.

 

 
All performances of Oklahoma! are now SOLD OUT.  The Tuesday, March 5 dress rehearsal has been opened to the public.  Tickets are $5 at the door with general seating. The pre-show will begin at 5 pm and Oklahoma! will begin at approximiately 6:15 pm.  Please be aware that this is a "working" dress rehearsal and the performance will be stopped as needed for adjustments or cast instructions.

Spring Talent Show Auditions: Wednesday, March 13 - Middle and high school students, Tuesday, March 19 - Elementary students

Auditions will take place in The Studio beside the Black Box Theatre.  Sign up and get audition information packets outside of Mr. Johnson's room or click the links below.  Peachtree City families may contact Cindy Perkins to schedule an audition at (770) 692-6781 or cperkins@landmark-cs.org.  The talent show and auction is Friday, April 12 at 6 pm at Dogwood Church in Tyrone.  *** If you have a specialty service, unique gift item, tickets to an event, or getaway at a vacation home that you would be willing to donate to the auction, please contact Don Johnson or Judi Knight.***

Congratulations!

Congratulations to our spelling bee participants in grades 1 through 4. All did very well and represented us well in academic ability and Christ-like behavior and attitude. We received first place ribbons in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th.

 

Sam Hagood- 1st place for 2nd grade

Kendall Calhoun- 1st place for 3rd grade

Micah McAllister- 1st place for 4th grade

 

Our 5th grade representatives go to the ACSI contest today. Keep them in your prayers. Math Olympics is right around the corner!!

Landmark's varsity boys' basketball team completed their season with a Sweet 16 loss on the road in Savannah to Calvary Day. Landmark finished their season 19-8 and made it to the Region Championship game for the second consecutive year upsetting #1 ranked WD Mohammed in the semi-final game. Seniors Malachi Dozier and Justin Ross were selected 1st Team All-Region. Great job all season by these young men.

Payton Hayes finished a great wrestling season by placing 7th in the State.  Payton finished with a 27-6 record, placing 2nd in the Area Tournament, and 3rd in the Sectionals. Caleb Cobb and Titus Creamer also wrestled well at the Area Tournament and showed will in the sectionals.

Juniors:  Remember that Spring is a great time to begin college visits.  Remember you are allowed two visits during your junior year.  Many schools have spring preview days, information can be found on the websites of the schools.

Seniors:  Please remember to turn in any college acceptances and/or scholarships that you receive.  Remember acceptances will not be placed on the senior wall without letters turned into guidance.
