Last weekend was a historic one for Landmark athletics! Congratulations to our volleyball and girls cross country teams for winning the Class A State Championships! Our boys cross country team ran great and finished 3rd in the state and our football team clinched a playoff spot with a great win on Friday. Also, two of our youth football teams, the 10- year-old and 11-year-old teams, advanced to the Super Bowl this Saturday with big wins! Varsity football plays for the Region Championship tonight! Go War Eagles!!!!
____________
Congratulations to seniors Lindy Long and Connor Swords for their selection as state semifinalists in the Wendy's High School Heisman program.

_________
Congratulations to the following students for their selection to the All-State Chorus.
HS: Nolan Cartledge 10th, Jacob Cobb 9th, Camden Cusumano 9th (his 2nd year in a row), Chloe Garden 11th (this will be her 4th year making it) , and Paige McCauley 10th (this is her 2nd year in a row)
MS: Camille Garden 8th, Andie Preacher 8th (Andie had a perfect score, this is her 2nd year in a row) , and Abbey Swearngin 8th.
There over 7,000 students in the state of Georgia that audition for All-State Chorus and only 1,500 that ultimately make the cut. The audition process is rigorous and truly tests all of the students musical skills. Our students will travel to Savannah, Georgia over winter break and join with the other top vocal musicians in the state to work with some of the best conductors in the nation. This is a musical milestone for middle and high School vocal students.

This award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students are selected by their teachers and peers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree.
