Champions Club Tailgate Dinner - 6pm, Cafeteria

(Philip Swords will head up a grilling team for the homecoming tailgate dinner.  He needs 4-6 people to help with grilling the tenderloin.  Grilling will begin around 1pm.  Please e-mail vshellnutt@landmark-cs.org is you are interesting in helping.)

 
*Important: The front parking lot will be reserved for staging of homecoming court cars for parade from 4pm-6:30pm.  Students in after school care on this day should be picked up from the gym.  We anticipate a great deal of traffic but please do NOT park in the grassy area behind Fairburn First Baptist Church.

Congratulations!

Congratulations go out once again to the 2011-12 yearbook staff! The Columbia Scholastic Press Association in New York has awarded a gold medal and All-Columbian Honors to last year's yearbook! Congratulations to Jahannah Christian, Taylor Carlington, Paul Orr, Lindy Long, Abigail Cochran, Joe Humphries, Madison Smith, Beau Franklin, Sarah-Beth Smith, Austin Hoover, Hannah Hojeij, and Scott Smith.


Congratulations to the newly elected officers of the 2012-13 Spanish Club.  They are:

On Wednesday in the first game of the region tournament, the varsity softball team won in dramatic fashion against Holy Innocents! With fantastic pitching provided by Ginny Hearn and great offense courtesy of AnnaLisa Chavez, Kali Tibbetts, and others, the Lady War Eagles rolled to a 14-4 victory! Congratulations, team!

Calling All Grillmasters!!

Golf Team
All students interested in playing middle or high school golf should see Coach Tony Daniel to sign up and fill out an information sheet.  A meeting will be held soon to provide more information.

High School All-inclusive Spring Trip to Utah and Arizona
(Bryce, Colorado River, Sedona, Grand Canyon) May 29-June 3, 2013.  The deadline for the deposit of $99 has been extended to Friday, October 5.  The price per student is $2059.  Interested parents are welcome to attend for a total trip cost of $2309. Deadline for early admission to University of Georgia and Georgia Tech is October 15.

 

Junior Class Ring Information: 

The informational meeting regarding class ring orders for juniors will be held on Tuesday October 9 during study hall.  A representative for Balfour will be at the school with ordering information.
