Dear Landmark Family, Thank you for selecting Landmark Christian School as a spiritual and academic partner for your family. Landmark is entering its 24th year and there is much to be excited about. I saw a glimpse of that excitement in the faces of the hundreds of you that came out to the barbecue this past Friday at our athletic complex. My wife Sue and I enjoyed greeting so many wonderful families and it makes me even more excited about this school year. Thank you for blessing us with your presence! I must also thank Laurie Gustafson and Marie Snyder with the Landmark Parent Association. They worked incredibly hard to make the event a success and it showed. As your new headmaster, I am eager to share with you the good things happening at our school. God has blessed Landmark yet again with record enrollment by bringing us 841 students to begin the new school year! As we welcome those students, let me assure you Landmark will continue to use its financial resources wisely and appropriately for the benefit of each of these treasured souls. All monies received from tuition and fees, as well as private charitable giving to Campaign Impact's annual Goal #1 drive, will be used to meet annual operating expenses on both campuses. Unless otherwise directed, your regular annual gifts to Impact Goal #1 will help to provide classroom enhancements, professional development for our teachers, and need-based financial aid for qualified students. Further improvements to buildings and technology, or for endowment purposes, will happen as additional gifts are received through multi-year commitments to Campaign Impact's Goal #2 and Goal #3. My warmest gratitude is extended to every donor who has thus far contributed to Landmark Christian School, especially since Campaign Impact began in 2008. Now we are all called to finish what has been started. Campaign Impact has now completed four years of its six-year timeline. I am determined to achieve our fundraising goal of $5.25 million by the summer of 2014 and everyone can play a role. As of July 31, 2012, Landmark has received gifts and pledges totaling 76% of the goal or $4,000,057.05. This is exciting news, but it is vital that current donors fulfill their outstanding multi-year pledges and that new donors add to the effort with their support of our annual Impact Goal #1 drive as mentioned above. Landmark will kick off its 2012-2013 Impact Goal #1 drive soon after the Labor Day holiday. We prayerfully ask for 100% parent participation, just as my faculty and staff have committed to doing for the same purpose. I have committed to a monthly donation and invite you to do the same. Every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference. Sincerely, Bill Parsons Headmaster |
